WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF COMMERCE & BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

The University College of Commerce and Business Management (UCC&BM) was started as a separate College in November 2011 with two Departments, i.e, Department of Commerce and Department of Business Management. Earlier these two departments were a part of the University College. In order to meet the requirements of accommodation for the Departments of Commerce and Business Management the present building was constructed.

The University College of Commerce and Business management is one of the premier colleges in the Mahatma Gandhi University and is located in the main campus which is lush green and has serene environment best suited for knowledge dissemination.

At our College, the teachers strive to transform students enrolled in Commerce and Business Management programmes into valuable knowledge assets. This transformation is achieved through dedicated teaching in the areas of finance, accounting, taxation, marketing, human resource management, banking and technology, data analytics, and related fields, delivered via both theoretical instruction and practical training, including internships. Apart from this each student is assigned a mentor for guidance and support. More than 80 Skill Enhancement Courses are offered by the University (inclusive of Sports Courses), from which every student must select at least one to strengthen their abilities. Our alumni, equipped with these skills, are now contributing to the progress of society and nation buildingby serving in diverse professional capacities.

Many of our teachers are the recipients of the National and International Awards for their contributions in Academic & Research activities.

The College regularly organizes national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences sponsored by funding agencies such as the UGC, ICSSR, the State Council, and others.

The UCC&BM College is presently offering a total of Five P.G. Programmes, i.e., M.Com., M.B.A., M.B.A. (TTM), M.B.A. Integrated (five years) and Two Ph.D. Programmes, i.e., Ph.D. in Commerce and Ph.D. in Business Management.

The total sanctioned strength of the P.G. Programmes is 640.

The College provides excellent infrastructural facilities, including spacious, well‑ventilated classrooms equipped with ICT resources such as interactive panels, Wi‑Fi connectivity, and UPS backup. Each department maintains a well‑furnished computer laboratory, with 60 systems in the Business Management Department and 20 systems in the Commerce Department. The Business Management Department also features a specialized Business Lab to support academic and practical learning. A Student Utility Room is available for organizing various student activities, while well‑equipped Conference and Seminar Halls facilitate a wide range of academic programs and events.

The common facilities include a well‑equipped and spacious Central Library that houses both subject‑oriented and competitive examination books, as well as state‑of‑the‑art indoor stadiums and sports fields, guided by experienced Physical Directors who train and mentor students. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are provided to support students from distant places. In addition, ANMs are available round the clock, and an ambulance with a dedicated driver is kept ready at all times to address any health emergencies.
