PLACEMENT CELL


National Service Scheme has provided a platform for the youth to learn by doing community service. It has given them a vision to help the downtrodden and the needy. It creates the spirit of equality and fraternity as well as a sense of civic responsibility. NSS philosophy and activities significantly contributed to the process of national integration in India. NSS has enriched the academic fabric of the nation through inculcation of leadership qualities and value orientation among the student community.

Our NSS volunteers had done a commendable service since 2009 till date. Variety of regular activities such as HIV / AIDS awareness programmes, Blood donation camps, Health camps, Dental camps, Eye camps, tree plantation programme(Haritha Haram), Water harvesting pits, repairs to roads, pulse polio immunization and clean & green programmes, youth festival, Azadi Ka Amrith Mahostav(75yrs Independence)in the college premises, legal awareness, Environmental protection rallies, and other programmes have been undertaken by the volunteers under the leadership of Programme Officers. All the important days/celebrations organized befittingly by the NSS units under the juridiction of Mahatma Gandhi University.

In addition to this, a good number of NSS volunteers from our university have participated in various national level programmes such as National Integration Camps, National Adventure Training Camps, Pre- RD training camps, RGNIYD training programmes. I am happy to note that the NSS cell, MGU has successfully achieved the target of special camps for the fourth consecutive year. Almost 90% of the NSS Programme Officers of MGU are trained Programme Officers.

It is a appropriate time to mention here the NSS programs undertaken right from its inception, striving hard and rendering services by the dedicated former Programme Coordinators Dr.Ravi Akula Dr. D.Ramesh under able guidance of Mr.Ramakrshna, Head-NSS Regional Centre, Government of India, Sri.Navin Mittal, IAS, State Nss Officer(FAC), Government of Telangana, Vice Chancellors and Registrars of Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda.

I take this opportunity to thank our Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor & Chairman of NSS, Prof.Ch.Gopal Reddy for their encouragement and guidance. I am very thankful to Prof. Krishna Rao, Registrar, M.G.U for their cooperation and constant support. I sincerely thank Sri. Mr.Ramakrshna, Regional Director, NSS Regional Directorate, Hyderabad for their guidance and is very kind enough in extending opportunities to our volunteers for participating variety of National level events. My thanks are due to Sri.Navin Mittal, IAS , SNO, NSS State Cell for their continuous support. I am very much thankful to the Principals, Programme Officers for initiating activities under NSS and the same tempo should be maintained in the future also. I thank the NSS volunteers of our University for their active participation in the community service programmes.
