Prof. B. Digamber Rao is a distinguished academician with over 37 years of research experience and 30 years of teaching experience in the field of Botany. He served as Professor of Botany at Kakatiya University and is currently serving as Adjunct Professor of Botany and Chairman, Board of Studies in Botany & Microbiology at Satavahana University, Karimnagar.

Throughout his illustrious career, Prof. Rao has held several key academic and administrative positions, including Head, Department of Botany, Joint Director of Admissions, Deputy Coordinator (SAP-DRS Programme), NSS Programme Officer and Coordinator, Secretary, Sports Board, In-charge Director of Physical Education, and Chairman, Board of Studies at both Kakatiya and Satavahana Universities. He has also coordinated major institutional initiatives such as the Haritha Haram Programme and Avenue Plantation activities.

An accomplished researcher, Prof. Rao has published over 80 research papers in reputed national and international journals, completed six UGC-sponsored Major Research Projects, guided 18 Ph.D. and 6 M.Phil. scholars, and delivered 43 invited lectures as a resource person at universities and academic staff colleges across the country.

His academic excellence has been recognized through several prestigious honours, including the Telangana State Best Teacher Award (2014), UGC Visiting Scientist Award (2007), TWAS Associateship Award (Italy, 2011–12), and the Best Research Award from Kakatiya University. He has also participated in international collaborative research programmes and academic visits to Australia, Singapore, Brazil, Uruguay, the United States, and the United Kingdom, significantly contributing to global scientific engagement.

Prof. Rao's areas of expertise include Botany, Plant Biology, Microbiology, Rhizobium Research, Environmental Biology, and Algal Biotechnology. His sustained contributions to teaching, research, academic administration, and institutional development continue to strengthen higher education and research in the biological sciences.

Dr.Y.Venkateshwarlu, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, University College of Science, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, Telangana. He completed M.Sc.(Botany) and received his Ph.D. degree from Telangana University,Nizamabad,Telangana, based on his doctoral thesis titled “Effect of Salicylic Acid on Cotton(Gossypiumherbaceum L.) Plant Grown in Nizamabad District.” He has 8 years teaching experience in various Degree and PG colleges. He has 6 International and National Research Publications. He has participated variousNational, international Seminars and workshops. He has serving as member in differentCommittees of MGU. He holds various administrative positions like Coordinator Directorate of Training and placement, Warden boys hostels.

Dr. T. Narsimha Swamy is presently working Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda. He completed M.Sc. Botany from Kakatiya University. He received Ph.D in Botany, Kakatiya University Warangal. He selected as BSR (Basic Research Fellow), New Delhi. He has over 13 year teaching experience in undergraduate and post Graduate in Botany. He previous served as Guest Lecturer in Botany at Girraj Government PG College (Autonomous), Nizamabad from 2016 to 2022 November before joining Mahatma Gandhi University. He has published 13 research papers various reputed National and International journals. He participated in several National, International seminars and Workshops..

Dr. Shravya Puri Erugu is working as Assistant Professor (P), Dept. of Botany, University College of Science, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda. She Obtained her Ph.D. from Osmania University, in Evaluation of Different Medicinal Plants Leafe Extracts, in vitro & in vivo, and field experiments on commercial crops like chilli to control fungal and Bacterial diseases. Her Specialization in Medicinal plant extractions, antimicrobial Assay, Phytochemical analysis, making Biopesticides and bioformulations to controlling of plant diseases. She has 15 years of teaching experience 6 years of research experience.
She has a credit of publishing more than 10 research papers in national and international journals, contributed 2 book chapters and 2 manuals she also participated in more than 20 national and international conferences/seminars, she also presented her research work in Indian science congress 2015. she is a organising committee member in national conferences and workshops, she is a dedicated academician and researcher, She has extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
She has actively guided student projects, participated in academic and research activities, and presented research papers at national and international conferences. Her research focuses on the exploration of medicinal plants for antioxidant, antimicrobial, and therapeutic applications, with special emphasis on green synthesis approaches and plant-based nano biomaterials. she also awarded with best Oral and poster presentations 2016, 2018.
She committed to academic excellence and innovative research, with a special interest in bridging traditional medicinal knowledge and modern biotechnology for sustainable healthcare solutions.
she is passionate about integrating traditional knowledge with modern scientific techniques to develop sustainable solutions in healthcare and biotechnology. She is committed to academic excellence, student mentoring, and innovative research that contributes to societal development.
