Professor Beena Chintalapuri is an adjunct Professor of Social Work at Mahatma Gandhi University, Hyderabad. Telengana State.

She held several academic and administrative positions in her tenure; first women Registrar of Osmania University and Head of Psychology Department, Deputy Director of Academic Staff College and Dean of Satavahana University Social Sciences.

Prof. Beena was assigned to initiate Sahayam Mahatma Gandhi University Psychological Counseling Center on October 2022 in response to social unrest in the campus. She has been coordinating all the activities related to Sahayam as Director till date.

She was also a Director of ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research), Southern Region. She was convenor of several national and international conferences – the notable ones are “Peace, Prosperity and Progress – Maritime Asia” conference. She played a key role in 15 research projects, supported some of prestigious organisations like Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), European Union, ICSSR, UGC, and Global Fund; round 7 Since 2015 she started working in Telangana prisons.

She has been implementing an innovative prison reform program called Unnati which has achieved tremendous results –recidivism among unnati participants has been reduced from 80 % to 2%. She received numerous awards for her work in prisons, the most notable one is the prestigious “Ashoka Fellowship” Ashoka Fellowship is a gold standard or highest recognition in the world for social entrepreneurs and changemakers. Recently she was invited to present her work at Harvard University, USA.

LAXMALLA MADHU is working as an Academic Consultant in the Department of Social Work from 2009.

He has completed his masters with Community Development specialization and qualified UGC NET (LS) in 2006. He has to his credit 3 research articles published in National and International journals. He is the member of different committees as Member IQAC Committee, Anti Ragging. His area of interests and research are Social Exclusion, Human Rights, and Social Innovations.

Dr. Sravan Kumar Sriram is an Assistant Professor(C), Department of Social Work, University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda. Dr. Sravan Kumar has thirteen years of teaching experience. He has Ph.D. degree in the subject social work awarded by Osmania University, Master degree from Kakatiya University and qualified NET conducted by UGC.

• Medical Social Work
• Psychiatric Social Work

Dr. M Naveen Kumar is an Assistant Professor(C), Department of Social Work, University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda. He has twelve years of teaching experience. He has Ph.D. degree in the subject social work awarded by Andhra University. Master degree from Osmania University and qualified NET conducted by UGC. He is working in thecommunity_organized various programmes in the communities surrounded by Nalgonda.He is Key adviser for the CGR and Nirvahana NGOs.

• Rural and Tribal Community Development.

Mr. Nagarjun is working as Part Time Lecturer in the Department of Social Work from 2019. He has three years of teaching experience and four years field level working experience in various research projects by ID Insights India, New Delhi and AIIMS, New Delhi.Collaboration with the activities of local NGO’s working with different target groups (school children, women and farmers) in Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda districts.
