Dr. Gullapelly Praveen Kumar

M. A, PGDTE, M.Phil, Ph.D (EFLU)
pravinkumareflu@gmail.com

Myself Dr. Gullapelly Praveen Kumar, I have been working as an Assistant Professor of English (Part-Time) for seven years now. I have taught Indian writing in English, Women’s writing and Modern European Literature in Translation to M.A. students of Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, Telangana. As a teacher, I am keenly interested in shaping the young minds because they are the future of our country.

I have a Doctoral Degree in English. I have done my Ph. D. from EFLU. I have also done M.Phil and PGDTE from EFLU, Hyderabad, Telangana and i did my P.G from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana.

I have published nine articles so far and two more are in the pipe line. I have presented a couple of papers in conferences of national and international repute.

As a teacher, I strongly believe that I must be objective and impartial in order to increase the space of the learner-teacher interaction and create academic interest in the classroom. Unlike regional languages, English language in India has become the basis of ethics whereby one respects the other rather than be constrained by local prejudices. This is an advantage for the English teacher whose goal is to unite the people across the world irrespective of gender; race and religion while at the same time provide a global perspective in teaching and research. Teaching and research need an open attitude and open mind inviting comments and relevant criticism from students. My aim is to do productive work in the provided time to meet the learner, teacher and research demands. Time-bound teaching and research excludes repetitions and helps focus on the topic in the classroom.
