He received his M.Sc. (Physics) degree in 2002 from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He qualified in the APSET examination in 2012 from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
He worked as Lecturer of Physics for 9 years from 2002 to 2011 in Vasishtha Degree College, Kamareddy, Nizamabad District,Telangana.
Besides his teaching carrier, he has also worked in academic and administrative positions in the university system. He has been as Head, Department of Basic Science & Humanities and he has also been the member of Disciplinary committee, sports committee, cultural committee, Admissions committee and Induction programme at University College of Engineering & Technology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda
Dr. Vijay Kumar Chityala, Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Basic Science and Humanities, University College of Engineering & Technology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, Telangana, since 11th Nov 2013.
He received his M.Sc. (Chemistry) degree in 2006 from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He qualified in the APSET examination in 2012 from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2015.
He published 12 Research Papers in various International and National journals. He has participated in 19 National and International Conferences & Seminars. He was awarded “Best Poster” award in National Conference on Recent Advances in Chemical Research (NCRACR-2009) and he bagged Prof.G.K. Chaturvedi Award in Coordination Chemistry, 31st Annual Conference of Indian Council of Chemist (ICC-2012), Saurastra University, Rajkot, Gujarath. He also attended Refresher Course, Workshop, Faculty Development Programs, Orientation Programs, etc.
Besides his teaching and research carrier, he has also worked in academic and administrative positions in the university system. He served as member of Subject Adjudicators for TSWRDC for Women. He served as Programme Officer for NSS Unit-I of UCE&T. He has worked as In-charge and Head, Department of Basic Science & Humanities and he has also been the member of many committees such as Anti ragging committee, Disciplinary committee, sports committee, beautification committee, cultural committee, Assistant Coordinator of Admissions committee for UG & PG and Programme Convener Induction programme at University College of Engineering & Technology, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda

Area of research interests are Heat and Mass Transfer, Boundary Layer flows, MHD flows, Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid flows, Computational Fluid Dynamics. Pursuing a Ph.D research from Osmania University and published 2 research papers in International Journals, 2 Papers presented in International Conferences. Attended more than 4 Faculty development programs (FDP). Programme officer for NSS (National Service Scheme) Unit-III, UCE&T from 2021. Attended the NSS National Integration Camp (7 days) as a contingent leader at MMDU-Haryana. Attended several National &International Seminars/ Conferences.
