Prof. Raghuram Rao Akkinepally is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator with over three decades of experience in pharmaceutical education, research, academic leadership, and industry consultancy. He is currently serving as the Principal, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda.

Before joining Mahatma Gandhi University, he served as the Director of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, one of India's premier institutions for pharmaceutical education and research. He also served as the Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kakatiya University, Warangal.
